


Rev. Kye Sung Kim, Head Minister
Rev. Kye Sung Kim has served as the Head Minister of the Richmond Temple in Virginia since 2008. Ordained as a Won-Buddhist priest in 2000, she brings decades of spiritual expertise and a deep commitment to community well-being. Her journey began with eight years of intensive Buddhist training and study in South Korea, followed by service at the Non-San and Dae Jeon Temples. Before arriving in Virginia, she spent three years serving the Hawaii Temple community. In addition to her spiritual leadership, Rev. Kim is a dedicated practitioner of holistic
wellness. She has practiced Tai-Chi and Qi-gong for over 25 years and is a certified Yoga instructor. Her Dharma name translates to "Stream of Water Sound," reflecting the vibrant energy and fluidity she brings to her teaching.
Rev. Kim specializes in meditation and spiritual cultivation, with a unique ability to tailor her guidance to meet individual needs.

Rev. Subin Lee, Assistant Minister
Rev. Subin Lee serves as a minister at the Richmond Temple, following her ordination in 2018 at age 57. With an educational background spanning traditional Buddhist studies and time spent training in South Korea, she brings a wealth of experience to her guidance. Her spiritual focus is the Hwaeom (Huayan)philosophy, through which she explores the beauty of universal interconnectedness and mutual support among all things.
